As a progressive school in suburban Bangalore, Capstone High, has devised a unique system to come to the aid of young parents to support their children at home to continue with their learning journey during the Pandemic. With children unable to come to school either physically or virtually, our team took the school home. Thus the project Capstone@home was conceived.
Here is how
Capstone@home provides the learning kit to each student of Pre-Primary and Primary years as part of this program.
In addition, to ensure that the learning environment is ideal, physical and technical infrastructure is made available to students at a nominal monthly rent. Tech support from the school’s IT department, in setting up the devices and troubleshooting for software is available through the school day, 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday).
Capstone@home provides an opportunity for scheduled and structured online consultation (twice a week of 60minutes / session) with parents along with the child. The sessions can be one on one as well as in small groups of two/three students with the class teacher/subject teacher/grade level coordinator/special educator/school counsellor for discussing any issues that the parent/student is facing.
